OUR STORY

21 years, zero acquisitions, zero audit conflicts

Lux Actuaries began in 2005 when a small team of qualified actuaries identified a gap in the Middle East market: organisations with complex actuarial liabilities had no independent, locally present firm to turn to. The choice was a Big 4 firm bundled with audit — or a global consultancy flying in from London.

We chose a different path. We established a resident presence, hired locally, and built long-term relationships with clients who needed an actuary who understood their market, their regulator, and their business — not one who arrived with a briefing pack and left after two weeks.

From a single office in Bahrain in 2007, Lux has grown to 14 offices across the Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Europe. We now employ over 125 professionals, including 27 qualified actuaries holding designations from the IFoA, SoA, ASSA, IAI, and CIA.

Throughout this growth, we have remained independent. No mergers. No acquisitions by larger firms. No audit relationships to protect. Our actuarial opinion is the only opinion we sell.
