CMA-licensed (Category 5) financial consulting, investment product analysis, suitability advisory, and corporate financial planning in the UAE.
Discuss your requirementsLux Actuaries holds a Category 5 Financial Consultations license from the UAE Capital Markets Authority (CMA). This license authorises us to provide regulated financial consulting services, including asset or investment product analysis, ranking and recommendation, and financial planning, which includes suitability assessment.
The CMA license is particularly relevant for our work under UAE Cabinet Resolution No. 96 (Alternative EOSB Savings Schemes), where employers need licensed financial consultants to navigate approved fund selection, suitability assessments, and ongoing compliance with the new savings framework.
We compare the merits of the existing EOSB gratuity, versus the new EOSB Savings scheme. This involves comparison of cost, expected cash-flow and volatility, and existing liability run-off. We then advise the employer on whether it makes financial sense to join a new scheme, if so then how to treat the existing balance-sheet liabilities within the law, and whether employees will be better off. We also advise whether all employees, some, or only new joiner employees should join the new scheme. Further HR considerations might look at how benefits could be structured to encourage recruitement and retention.

Ruan van RensburgA license from the UAE Capital Markets Authority authorising the holder to provide financial consultations and advisory services. Category 5 covers investment analysis, asset and product ranking and recommendation, and financial planning — but not asset management.
UAE Cabinet Resolution 96 requires employers to select a suitable scheme operator and fund manager for their savings scheme. This imposes a fiduciary duty on employers to consider their employees' best interests. This is where senior management would want to work with licensed financial consultants when selecting approved investment funds and making suitability assessments for employee savings schemes. The financial advisor will also look after the long-term interests of the employer and employees in the operation of the scheme. The CMA license ensures the advisor meets regulatory standards for competence and conduct.
