Ahmed graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science from the Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University and started his career at the Financial Regulatory Authority. Thereafter, Ahmed gained experience in general insurance reserving and employment benefits by working in the National Actuarial Consultancy. Ahmed moved to work at the Emirati Insurance Authority for more than 3 years with the responsibility of the offsite monitoring of the insurance companies. Ahmed participated in developing many of the current regulations in the insurance market of UAE. In 2020 Ahmed became the Chief Actuary of the largest insurance group in Egypt (Misr Holding). Ahmed has led the expansion of the Lux Group into Egypt and now he is the managing director of LUX-Egypt. Ahmed has a master degree and PhD degree in actuarial science and he teaches actuarial science in Cairo University.
