Sahib Khosla

Sahib Singh Khosla is Executive Director, Chief Strategy & Growth Officer and Resident Actuary at Lux Actuaries & Consultants Kenya. He has over 15 years’ experience in actuarial consulting and advisory across insurance, pensions, banking and wider financial services, working with private-sector institutions, regulators and public bodies across Africa.
His work spans insurance and employee benefits, banking and credit risk, investment and asset advisory, capital and solvency, enterprise risk management, financial reporting, and corporate and transaction advisory. His experience includes reserving, pricing, asset-liability management, IFRS 17 and IFRS 9, actuarial due diligence, regulatory reviews and strategic advisory.
Sahib’s professional standing spans the actuarial, risk, investment and finance professions. He is a Fellow of the UK’s Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), The Actuarial Society of Kenya (TASK) and the Actuarial Association of Uganda (TAAU), and a member of the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (ICIFA) in Kenya. A former President of TASK, he continues to contribute to the development of the actuarial profession in Kenya and the region.
He is also a founding council member of Kenya’s Risk Management Professionals society and a member of ICIFA Kenya’s Public Policy and Emerging Issues Taskforce, contributing at the intersection of risk, investment, finance and public policy.
Sahib brings governance experience as an independent non-executive director in the insurance sector and as a pension scheme trustee, providing direct experience of board oversight, institutional governance and fiduciary responsibility.
He is also an educator, trainer and speaker, having taught actuarial science at university level for more than a decade and contributed to academic programmes, professional and industry training, and conferences across Africa.
Internationally, he is a member of the Africa Regional Council of the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) and contributes to initiatives supporting the development and regulation of the actuarial profession in Kenya.
Sahib was awarded the Head of State’s Commendation, a national honour of the Republic of Kenya, recognised among Kenya’s Top 40 Under 40, and received the International Actuarial Association’s Geoffrey Heywood Award.
